Meet the Roundhill team
The team behind your holiday is essential to making sure you have the best time possible. Below we would like to introduce you to the people you will meet during your time at our Roundhill campsite. If you should need any help, have any issues during your stay or just want to know the best place to go for an evening meal then please feel free to ask them!
Mark Stoole – Site Manager
Mark has worked at Camping in the Forest since 2009, mainly at Roundhill, where he and Louisa have been the managers since 2012. When he started out in the New Forest, Mark had no idea that he has an ancestral link to nearby Beaulieu going back to the 1600s! Aside from family history, Mark is knowledgeable and passionate about motorcycles and machinery, and spends his winters in France tinkering with his growing collection of Eastern Bloc bikes.
Louisa Russell – Site Manager
Having backpacked to beautiful Roundhill before she ever thought she might work there, Louisa is happy to have managed the Site with Mark since 2012, having joined Camping in the Forest in 2009. Loving trees and wildlife, Louisa is lucky enough to spend her summers in the New Forest and her winters with Mark at their home in France, where she is currently creating her very own woodland in their small back garden!
Tim Reekie – Site Assistant
Tim has been a camper in the New Forest for many years, and now knows Roundhill from the other side of the Reception desk. He is enjoying his second season as an assistant at the Site, alongside his wife Glen. An experienced trainer of German Shepherd dogs, you might spot Tim walking his gorgeous dog Foxy across the heath. That's when he isn't helping to keep the Site's facilities running!
Frida and Lily
The staff insisted that Managers' dogs Frida and Lily are part of the Team, so here they are! Lily, a Chinese Crested, has been at Roundhill since 2010 and enjoys chasing squirrels up trees, whilst Frida the Chihuahua puppy is our youngest team member who likes telling bigger dogs off and finding anything edible!
Peter Allison – Site Assistant
This is Peter's first season at Roundhill after working at Holmsley and Hollands Wood. Born in Australia, Peter is a sculptor and artist who has travelled the world on 'workabout', doing country shows and equestrian events. Peter likes to cook in his spare time.
Katie Brazier – Site Assistant
Katie has been at Camping in the Forest for four years and this is her first season at Roundhill. Katie loves wild animals and is always happy to see newborn arrivals on Site. In her spare time, Katie likes to read and do internet surveys and to spend time with her ever-increasing family.
Keith Stanley – Site Assistant
Keith has worked with his wife Karen at Bracelands Site in the Forest of Dean and this is his second season at Roundhill. On Site, Keith will often be found in the Reception, wrestling with the complexities of the computer system. Keith's hobbies are cooking (in his miniscule camper kitchen) and learning Spanish, which is useful as he spends his winters with Karen in Europe, enjoying the winter sun in Spain.
Karen Stanley – Site Assistant
Karen is in her third season with Camping in the Forest, her second at Roundhill. Karen's favourite role at work is meeting and greeting our customers and she can often be found on duty outside Reception, where she is a mine of information. She is especially interested in the history of the Site and its role in WW2 as an RAF base. In her spare time, Karen enjoys needlecraft and is a compulsive reader of novels. Karen and her husband Keith spend the off-season touring Europe in their motorhome, soaking up the winter sun.
Eddy Ferrett – Site Assistant
Eddy is in his second season with Camping in the Forest, and loves Roundhill: the flora, fauna and the people! He also likes to follow the sun across Southern Europe, avoiding the British winters. Eddy is a keen environmentalist, cook and walker, who plays cricket whenever possible.
Michelle Ferrett – Site Assistant
Working at Roundhill for her second year gives Michelle the chance to indulge her passions, which are wildlife and walking. In the winter, Michelle loves to travel, eat good food and enjoy the winter sun.
