Ardgartan Campsite, Argyll Forest Park, Scotland
Ardgartan is no longer taking bookings for camping. However, we would love to welcome you at another Camping in the Forest Site in Scotland, at Cashel, Cobleland or Glenmore.
Perfect for seasoned and novice campers alike, this beautiful campsite sits between the shores of Loch Long and the Argyll Forest Park with stunning views across the loch and out towards the mountains. Pitching your tent here will provide you with a truly authentic camping experience, allowing you to relax and refresh in a truly spectacular setting!
As well as suiting those campers wishing to relax, switch off and get away from it all, Ardgartan is also suited to the active camper as it is the main route to Oban with additional routes up to Ben Arthur (‘The Cobbler’) and several Munros (mountains over 3,000ft) nearby. Argyll Forest Park is also known for its glens, mountains, lochs and woodlands, which have so much to offer the active explorer.
Water-sports enthusiasts and mountain-bikers also have plenty of opportunities to get the adrenaline pumping, and the campsite Ranger Activities are perfect for those campers who are searching for even more action.
The entire campsite recently underwent a major refurbishment and there is now a café and shop on site. Dogs are welcome and there are toilet and shower blocks available.
Please note during the summer months there are midges on this campsite, click here for more information.
