Loch Lomond, Trossachs – we’re lucky to have you. This isn’t the start of a grand poem – don’t worry – but rather an appreciation of a truly stunning area that graces the UK. Sweeping mountain ranges, vast panoramic views, ancient forests and a massive range of animals that live amongst it all – this is a perfect chunk of Scottish outdoors.

Consisting of a number of mountain ranges which comprise of 21 Munros (mountains greater than 3000ft) and 19 Corbetts (between 2500 and 3000ft), the area provides outdoor enthusiasts with a vast number of walking and cycling challenges that Scotland and Argyll have become famous for.

For those looking for Argyll campsites, you can explore the whole of this beautiful region if you wish from one of our bases. Fortunately, we’re able to offer two campsites in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, each of which has their own share of the beauty and access to the surrounding areas. Both offer various facilities for tent campers, touring caravans and motorhome owners.

The Trossachs area has one Forest Park – Queen Elizabeth – which sits on the edge of Loch Lomond. Truly stunning, these woodlands are criss-crossed with walking and cycling trails all the way through and often afford spectacular views across Lochs and beyond as you ascend the hills.

The area also plays host to diverse wildlife, with visitors often reporting sights of otters, ospreys, water vole, deer and even the vocally impressive capercaillie.

Camping in Loch Lomond satisfies any appetite for the outdoors and refreshes any stressed mind. Take a pew in one of nature’s grand masterpieces and all else will be forgotten.

Loch Lomond campsites

Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park are both all about the outdoors, making them the perfect holiday destination for anyone looking for some fresh air. In keeping with this, our Cashel and Cobleland campsites offer unique and direct access to two of the area’s best features – Loch Lomond itself and Queen Elizabeth Forest Park.

Situated right on the shores of Loch Lomond, our Cashel campsite offers views across the loch, passing the island of Inchlonaig in its centre and looking to Luss and the mountains beyond. Campers here have access to the shores of the loch, so get your mug filled and enjoy it in full view of some of the North’s best panoramic views.

Not too far away, and still within the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, is Cobleland. This campsite sits right on the banks of the River Forth and is just 13 miles from Ben Lomond. Take off straight into the forest for accessible adventures, or join up with National Cycle Route 7, which passes straight by the site entrance.

Whether you have a caravan, motorhome, campervan or tent, camping in Loch Lomond doesn’t get any better than this. Both campsites offer shower and toilet facilities. For caravans, motorhomes and campervans there are hardstanding pitches with electricity. At Cobleland there are grass pitches with electricity for tent campers. For your furry friends, pets are welcome at both!
