Camping in the Forest (CITF), which manages Beddgelert Caravan and Camping Site under a License Agreement from Forest Holidays, will cease to operate the campsite from 31 October 2017.
Forest Holidays – a company which operates a number of luxury cabin sites throughout the UK – exercised its option earlier this year to seek planning permission to develop the Beddgelert site as a cabins site.
This planning permission has recently been approved, and Forest Holidays will take over operation of the Beddgelert site from 31 October 2017.
CITF considered and studied various options for maintaining a touring camping presence at Beddgelert. However, it concluded that it is not operationally or financially sustainable for it to run with significantly reduced touring camping pitches combined with a cabin development.
CITF will continue to operate the Beddgelert campsite until 31 October, and would be delighted to explore any future opportunities for maintaining a touring operation in the local area.
The CITF team has contacted all campers and caravanners who have booked to stay at the Beddgelert campsite, informing them of the handover in operations to Forest Holidays.
Those who wish to cancel their booking and transfer their stay to another Camping in the Forest Site should contact the Customer Services team via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org, or alternatively call 024 7647 5387.
For media enquiries, contact our CITF communications team at 024 7647 5204 or email@example.com.
