Bucklers Hard is a ship building village which provided ships for Nelson’s Navy, played a role in the D-Day landings and holds many secrets surrounding Maritime history in the area.
Visit some of the display cottages and find out what the village looked like in the 1800’s, find out who lived in the village and how it’s changed throughout the years.

The river cruise is a 30 minute scenic and tranquil journey around the grounds which is worth visiting between rain showers. The Captain’s Cabin Tea rooms are next to the main entrance and provide the perfect pit stop for a light lunch or hot drink.
