We love it when campers are able to take their furry four legged best friends with them on every adventure on our sites. All but two of our forest campsites welcome dogs with open arms (and laps!).
Camping in the New Forest with dogs is perfect with the forest being a walker’s paradise scattered with countless trails to explore.
Top New Forest sites for dogs
Camp right in the heart of the New forest with your furry friends at Roundhill.
This site has a great mix of open green space, quiet secluded nooks and is crisscrossed with plenty of paths for walking, cycling and exploring with your four legged friend in tow. There are 500 pitches on this site and you can pick from a pitch between the shady ferns or out in the open space with plenty of running around room.
Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Beaulieu are all just a short drive away and are some of the most popular villages to visit in the New Forest.
The only problem with camping at Matley Wood is that you won’t want to leave! There are paths and cycle routes leading straight from the campsite which are great for walks full of adventure.
Just a couple of miles east of Lyndhurst (the unofficial capital of the New Forest), there is plenty to do in and around the area. The National Motor Museum and Beaulieu Palace are 5 miles away and make a great day out for all with dogs being welcome in the grounds.
Camp in the ferns, aside the ancient trees weaving their way skyward or alongside the Blackwater stream in the tranquil setting of the Aldridge Hill. Open green fields, impressive forest and the calm Ober Water all provide new and stimulating environments for your furry friends to explore.
Brockenhurst village is just 2 miles away and is the largest in the New Forest in terms of population. This means you’ll find plenty of local pubs, shops and attractions which will welcome your dog as well as yourselves.
