According to our recent research, more than half of Brits are completely unable to read a compass, a third can’t navigate using a map and two thirds don’t know how to put up a tent without instructions.
With more people opting to holiday in the UK this year and camping holidays on the rise, we want to make camping accessible to all.
That's why we’ve launched a series of classes across our campsites to teach basic outdoor skills and help people get back to nature. Our Elemen-tree School classes will offer fun and interactive sessions covering off a host of different skills, from how to take a bearing on your OS map to bandaging up a bruised arm. By the end of the class, you’ll know your rock tent peg from a groundsheet peg and how to pitch a tent perfectly.
Whether you’re a regular camper in need of a refresher, or a complete novice, our classes are a great way to get back to basics – with our friendly team on hand to share their expertise and advice and help make camping fun for the entire family.
Old or young, if you want to improve your outdoor knowledge and learn new skills all whilst re-connecting with nature in a beautiful setting, join us for our Elemen-tree School classes this summer!
Elemen-tree School classes are available for up to 30 participants at selected campsites and places are available on a first come, first served basis.
Covid measures may be in place at the classes, subject to government guidelines. Full Coronavirus safety measures for our sites can be found here.
To book a place on a class, complete the form on this page, including details of the number of people you would like to attend with and your preferred campsite. You can find more information on each campsites’ location below.
