Any barbecues used on our sites should be specifically designed and used only for the purpose of cooking food (i.e not firepits). They should be robust, secure and able to be raised off of the forest floor, there should no damage or marks left on the ground where they have been used. In support of the New Forest Action Plan we are asking campers not to bring disposable barbecues for their stay. We are also reminding campers that outside of our sites no barbecues of any kind are now allowed anywhere in the New Forest.

Please do not feed, pet or approach the animals in and around the campsite; they may look friendly but are unpredictable and can bite and kick. Please keep all food sealed and out of reach of the ponies

A Real Back To Nature Site
My third visit to Aldridge Hill in 2019 and once again it did not disappoint. I was lucky enough once again to pitch up near the stream in the forest. It is a fantastic place to relax in peaceful forest surroundings.... On this visit i was fortunate to be visited by a group of Highland Cows, Horses, Ponies, Squirrels and by the stream,...Kingfishers and in the trees..... Woodpeckers... Its a nice 40 mins walk into Brockenhurst for all your normal daily needs with some great pubs, The Foresters Arms.. The Snakecatcher & The Huntsman All in all.... a fantastic site... with friendly informative staff ... I will definitely return in 2020 Thank You =o)

Beautiful Campsite
We had an amazing time at Aldridge Hill Campsite. The setting is beautiful, with wild ponies and cows roaming in and out of peoples tents. We camped near a stunning river meandering through the woodlands and could hear the animals having a drink during the night. The nearby town, Brockenhurst, is lovely with lots of places to eat and drink. There were great pubs and some live music and a great butchers and farm shop for our bbq! The owners were very friendly and helpful, we had a good laugh. The only (very small) downside was the number of campervans and caravans on site. I appreciate we went during a very hot bank holiday weekend so it was obviously going to be busy, but I think that the lack of facilities here attracts people with large motor homes etc which have all and more than the facilities they need - slightly took away from the "wild" and basic camping experience for us. But I imagine in quieter months this campsite would feel quite wild!

Another great Summer
Another great Summer, weather was fab, the staff and volunteers doing an amazing friendly job. Always helpful ,cheerful and willing to go the extra mile when needed. Fantastic location. Never disappointed. Keep it up Chris, Bob,Margaret and John x

Enjoyable but...
Love Aldridge Hill and came here to recapture old memories from 25 years ago especially the peace and quiet of this idyllic site. We did have a great time however it was slightly spoiled by quite a number of not very quiet generators running for 4 hrs a day. I personally think that generators should not be permitted. It's a shame that the natural atmosphere is polluted by these things. Otherwise lovely.

Another great Camping in the Forest site
Easy to find, booking in quick, friendly and efficient staff, busy over the weekend but still plenty of pitches available. You have to have your own toilet and washing facilities but grey water, toilet empty and fresh water available central to the site. Great place for kids although we didn't have any and lots of off the road cycling or walking routes available adjacent to the site for those who want to see a bit more.
Unit Type: RV Motorhome
Immaculate site. Friendly helpful campers. Good.
Very good place to stay in the New Forest.
Unit Type: Caravan
Great stay as always
Great stay as always , although very busy, due to bank holiday and fantastic weather
Unit Type: Caravan
The best campsite in the country. The scenery is second to none and the kids feel safe enough to wander on their own. The best family holiday you can have. When you are abroad all you do is helicopter parent your kids. Here they can play on their own safely. Will be back next year without a doubt.

Lovely stay
Really lovely stay in a beautiful location, staff were all very friendly and helpful, and very vigilant about cleanliness - walking around and picking up any rubbish that had been left behind. I would certainly stay here again
Unit Type: Camper Van
