Hollands Wood is the perfect retreat for both mind and body. Celebrity broadcaster and environmental campaigner David Bellamy described this site as one of his 'Paradise parks'. Set amongst 22 hectares of beautiful oak woodland - the ideal backdrop for relaxation or an action-packed break - you can see why. Visit once and you'll want to come back again and again.

It's not easy to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Finding the time and the place to 'get away from it all' is a challenge for each of us. This is where Hollands Wood steps in; to help you disconnect, step back and take a deep breath of fresh air - a spa for the mind and body.

Giant oak trees surround the pitches at Hollands Wood, sunlight pierces the canopy, and rich green hues colour the landscape as far as the eye can see. With the natural features of the land still in place, pitches weave through the treelines, amongst the ferns and into slightly more open land, giving plenty of camping options.

Stay at our Hollands Wood campsite and you’ll find out what peace and quiet really means. Surround yourself with green space and relax in one of Hampshire’s, if not the UK’s, most serene places.

When you’re done resting take off into the forest surrounding the site. Go by bike or on foot and enjoy the 143 miles of track and paths running throughout the glorious woodlands.

Nearby villages include the beautiful Brockenhurst with its abundance of restaurants, pubs and shops. The expansive picnic site at Balmer Lawn, next to the Lymington River, is a popular choice for both visitors and residents, and has provided an idyllic setting for countryside lunches for many years.

With its friendly, welcoming atmosphere, Hollands Wood is perfect for all campers. It's the place to surround yourself with the incredible oaks and green space of the New Forest, the place to temporarily turn your back on the outside world – go on, book with us today!

Regrettably opportunistic thefts, especially of bicycles, are known to occur in the New Forest area, which is an unfenced environment. Please be aware and take extra care to fully secure your property when camping.

Welcoming wooded site
/
A nice site, no defined pitches just a free for all within wooded glades. Peaceful with wild animals roaming through the site, yet just a 15 minute walk to Brockenhurst. The only annoyance was the lack of shower curtains or benches in the cubicles so your clothes get wet. Other than that a lovely site which I'd go back to. I can imagine it gets very busy in school holidays.

Another Great Experience At Hollands Wood

Another great experience at Hollands Wood helped by the friendly staff, stunning surrounding scenery/walks and great facilities. We are already looking at dates again for early next year

Spoilt by the ponies
/
Our second stay on this site. Fantastic location for walking and cycling. However it was quite busy and most of the remaining pitches were pretty much bare earth. The staff had warned us about the ponies being aggressive this year and one forced it's way past me to get to our breakfast (while I was cooking) and tried to kick me as I tried to push out away. I couldn't fend it off and it kept shoving forward until it managed to grab some food. Quite scary and not great to have our stuff trashed. A nearby little girl was quite frightened to see what was happening. Would I go back? Not after that encounter, no.

Amazing Campsite!
/
We stayed here for two nights in our campervan and absolutely loved it! Loads of space and you can drive around to find the perfect spot to camp. There was one very confident little pony that stole our breakfast but all the others were fine! There are a few pubs and shops within walking distance. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great site warm welcome - watch out for bike thieves!
/
very warm and informative welcome at arrival - no need to get out of the moho as all info brought to us - pick a pitch and move if your not happy with your neighbours ! Great views of open fields and new forest ponies and cows! Chilled atmosphere We we warned about bike theft when we arrived and told to lock up the bikes.... several glasses of wine later we forgot ... but fortunately they were still there in the morning - unlike our neighbours who had 2 bikes stolen (locked with D lock onto bike rack!) heard 4 others also taken that night and 2 other attempts ... apparently a common problem .... which would definitely ruin your weekend! Campsite needs to do more to protect visitors ... all the bikes stolen had been secured ... ours were just too old to be of interest!

Excellent relaxing weekend
/
Hollands wood is an idyllic campsite, where you are back to nature. No electric so you have to make do with natural light and early nights in. The campsite itself, is spacious and is a first come basis for the prime spots. However, if you are savvy, you can find locations which are not as crowded but just as good. The facilities are of a high standard, only let down by the users, who do not believe they should clean up after themselves. I would recommend this site to everyone, but then would there be space for us to return!

Fabulous stay!
/
My eldest daughter and I stayed for a little adventure to see the summer out and Hollands Wood campsite didn't disappoint. We pitched up near the top toilet block which was well appointed and clean. The site made a fabulous base for exploring the local woods. Being 6, my daughter wasn't up for lots of walking but we went and 'got lost' in the woods, found rope swings over rivers and saw loads of exciting wildlife. I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you!
