Hollands Wood is the perfect retreat for both mind and body. Celebrity broadcaster and environmental campaigner David Bellamy described this site as one of his 'Paradise parks'. Set amongst 22 hectares of beautiful oak woodland - the ideal backdrop for relaxation or an action-packed break - you can see why. Visit once and you'll want to come back again and again.

It's not easy to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Finding the time and the place to 'get away from it all' is a challenge for each of us. This is where Hollands Wood steps in; to help you disconnect, step back and take a deep breath of fresh air - a spa for the mind and body.

Giant oak trees surround the pitches at Hollands Wood, sunlight pierces the canopy, and rich green hues colour the landscape as far as the eye can see. With the natural features of the land still in place, pitches weave through the treelines, amongst the ferns and into slightly more open land, giving plenty of camping options.

Stay at our Hollands Wood campsite and you’ll find out what peace and quiet really means. Surround yourself with green space and relax in one of Hampshire’s, if not the UK’s, most serene places.

When you’re done resting take off into the forest surrounding the site. Go by bike or on foot and enjoy the 143 miles of track and paths running throughout the glorious woodlands.

Nearby villages include the beautiful Brockenhurst with its abundance of restaurants, pubs and shops. The expansive picnic site at Balmer Lawn, next to the Lymington River, is a popular choice for both visitors and residents, and has provided an idyllic setting for countryside lunches for many years.

With its friendly, welcoming atmosphere, Hollands Wood is perfect for all campers. It's the place to surround yourself with the incredible oaks and green space of the New Forest, the place to temporarily turn your back on the outside world – go on, book with us today!

top notch
Second stay at Holland wood, enjoyable as the first time. Lovely site in a very good position in amongst the forest. Amenities are top notch. staff friendly and welcoming.

Excellent campsite, friendly helpful staff, clean facilities and beautiful location!
Read the reviews on here before booking and almost got put off by a few peoples review of the site. Just got back from the weekend there and so glad we went it was brilliant and such a beautiful locataion. Facilities were very good and always kept clean even though the campsite was completely full. Staff couldnt have been better they were friendly and really helpful. We managed to get a perfect spot to pitch on the edge of the open forest and away from the road. Definitely worth trying to find a spot there if you don't want the road noise. Some areas had flooded a bit but were fenced off well so just avoided them. Ponies everywhere, just watch out for the small herd of shetlands they managed to open up a tent, walk in and help themselves to dog food the day before we got there!! Just put your food in your car if you're out for the day. Would definitely camp there again!
Unit Type: Tent
The only issue I had was we were told to put down our event shelter on the Saturday as it was the rules but that meant our children had nowhere to sit and stay dry apart from the tent and because there was 5 families together that couldn't work plus there were 2 camper vans together opposite us who had the same thing put up between their vans and they kept us until gone 3am singing and drinking NOTHING WAS SAID TO THEM totally unfair as ours was to keep us dry when eating together and for children. Putting that down ruined it for us specially as within our group was a 6 month baby

Very good campsite, I recommend it!
Beautiful area in the wood, good and clean facilities and location is convenient. The team is also very friendly. I would definitely go back!

Great facilities and close to nearby town
A great campsite, large open pitches where you could pick your own spot. Ponies wondering through the campsite all the time and a short distance to open moorland - lovely. The only downside is that we were not allowed to put up our gazebo, something that we were not informed off prior to arrival. This meant that on a very wet weekend we had little chance of staying dry! It was also frustrating that others put up their gazebos, and this wasn't checked on by the staff. It's also worth thinking about rain fall when you pitch your tent - after a night of heavy rain there were tents submerged and unusable! We were upgraded overnight to the 'lake side' :) The showers/toilet facilities were clean and regularly re stocked which was very good for when the campsite was fully booked. Showers were busy at time, but we never had to queue. If you are looking for a busy campsite, with good facilities and close to local amenities then this is the place. Not recommended for a quiet stay - this is a very large site and very popular!

Very enjoyable stay!!
Turned up earlier then our 13:00 check in time and this wasn't a problem at all. Welcomed to the site by a lady that was new. She was very polite and gave advice about the site which was welcomed. The site itself had had a lot of rain on and there was pitches that were very wet but they were clearly marked. We pitched opposite the shower/toilet block overlooking the field. No issues with others being close as surrounded by 4 oak trees. A very short walk/ride and we were onto the cycle paths of the new forest. I'd advise getting a map as it's easy to get caught up in the wildlife and surroundings and be out for 5 hours!!! The site it's self was clean and tidy with the rangers visible if there was any issues. Showers were clean and hot. There was a mop and squeegee if it was muddy and the previous users are asked to clean them if left dirty. Dishwashing room had plenty of sinks and even a lower one for the kids to get stuck into!! Waters very very hot tho. Here lies my only criticism of the site. The plugs in the dish room are terrible!!! Fit new ones please!! You use so much water as they don't seal or stay in!! As we were there the new forest show was on so we decided Thursday would be the day we go to that. This involved extending our stay by an extra night. When asked at reception we were told this wouldn't be a problem but could we ensure that we're out by the 12 check out as they had busy Friday. They were polite and very helpful talking to the kids and making a fuss of the dog. Couldn't fault them. All in all my 2 daughters, the dog and myself had a great holiday. Would definitely recommend if your into your walking/cycling activities. Already talking about going back with a bigger group next time. If all I can criticise is pants plugs then there doing something right!!!

Brilliant family site for cycling in the New Forest
Second visit and will happily return again. Staff particularly friendly and helpful this time. Lovely to camp among the trees. Great to be able to cycle straight into the forest without going on any roads. We were there mid week during the summer holidays, so there were plenty of people around but the washroom facilities are plentiful and there was lots of space between the tents. We did have to pick our time with the washing up room as it is quite small. You can hear the noise of the road but it isn't bothersome (and I hate traffic noise). Ponies no bother at all, unlike at some other New Forest sites.

Great place to camp!
From the minute we drove on to the site, we were made to feel very welcome. The site was quite full but we still found a great spot for the tent! The toilet and shower facilities were plentiful and clean and there was always really hot water in the dish washing area. Being so close to the forest, it was so easy to go off and explore on foot as well as having a wide range of places easily accessible by car.
