An outstanding site sitting between Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Beaulieu, Roundhill campsite is the perfect example of New Forest camping. Stunning in itself with expansive open areas, a lake and sprinklings of ferns and trees, the picturesque Roundhill is finished with incredible forest surroundings just waiting to be explored.

A beautifully diverse site with a mix of open green pitches and quiet, secluded nooks, Roundhill has played host to thousands of blissfully happy campers over the years. Now it’s your turn to experience this delightful setting.

Roundhill is a well-kept site that remains beautifully natural, a staple for any camper. The paths that crisscross the sprawling site take you through impressive fields and heathlands, around a beautiful pond spot and in between the trees.

With 500 pitches you have plenty of spots to pick from, whether you go for a quiet spot hugged by majestic pines and birches and shady ferns, or for a more open space, you’ll be spoilt for wonderful views and you will share your holiday experience with the famous New Forest ponies that roam freely around the site.

Once you’ve had your fix of on-site exploration, taking in all the site has to offer, you have plenty of options for day trips with Roundhill campsite as your base.

Wander right into the heart of the forest, with its heathlands and grand oaks, straight from the site. The New Forest Cycle route offers miles and miles of cycle tracks, and walkers are catered for with a plentiful choice of routes to follow.

Beyond the tracks there are plenty of villages to visit.  Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Beaulieu all just a drive away, or a cycle ride through the forest. Each of these offers a unique take on the traditional English village and all offer incredible eateries, drinking establishments and independent shops.

If you’re looking for a great site for your next camping trip, with views and plenty of opportunities to explore, Roundhill campsite is the answer. It couldn't be easier to book online today!

Please note: Any barbecues used on our sites should be specifically designed and used only for the purpose of cooking food (i.e not firepits). They should be robust, secure and able to be raised off of the forest floor, there should no damage or marks left on the ground where they have been used. In support of the New Forest Action Plan we are asking campers not to bring disposable barbecues for their stay. We are also reminding campers that outside of our sites no barbecues of any kind are now allowed anywhere in the New Forest.

Please do not feed, pet or approach the animals in and around the campsite; they may look friendly but are unpredictable and can bite and kick. Please keep all food sealed and out of reach of the ponies

Quiet week
/
We loved our stay. Beautiful sunrises and nothing but birds and ponies. The staff, as always, were friendly and helpful. The site was deserted probably due to the removal of toilet and showers. Can’t wait to return and sad the site closes next week. Roll on opening time next spring and thanks for a lovely stay. Just what we needed.

Best ever

I cannot say thank you enough for they went above and beyond. Whilst there my brakes went on my van which left me with no transport but this was not to be a problem as one of the wardens called kevin offered his services to run me to wherever I needed to go, he was a gem not to many people left like that and the site as always was beautiful and welcomed with arms open. Thank you so much roundhill

One of the best ever

I don't usually do reviews. Everything you buy/use seems to want one! But this site is truly brilliant, if you like solace, self sufficiency, peace and quite, and the odd intruding equine..you need to stay here. Perfectly located to leave he van on site and head off on bike to the local big attractions (Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, Lymington etc.) But, the main reason for this review is the excellent, professional, helpful and always smiling site staff. I can't commend them enough; this is what good customer service looks like. Susan and David really love what they do and made my stay that extra bit special. Thank you, I'll be back soon!

This is my favourite campsite for so many reasons!

Such a warm welcome from friendly and knowledgeable staff. Loads of room to feel COVID safe, and great to see ponies and cows as neighbours. Great to explore the old airfield, and the woods, ideal for the dog too! Came back to work much refreshed. Thanks to all the staff.

Very nice site and not too busy at all

usual quiet relaxing campsite

We have been coming to the new Forest and Roundhll for years. Its open, with some great walks, close enough to both Brockenhurst and Lymington, but far enough from roads to be really quiet. Its s great baseto explore on foot, bike or by car, yet a base to be tranquil in, enjoy a drink, quiet and bbq to relax. Great spaces for kids to run around and families to explore.

Perfect surroundings

I have been coming to this campsite since before I was born lol and it is the perfect place to stay! This time was like we will never see it again i guess. as it was beautifully quiet making it even more tranquil and gorgeous! The Managers were super friendly and helpful... and pleasantly laid back, which we haven't found so much in our trips over the last few years! This was refreshing. They even helped when my sister lost her car keys and let us in after they'd locked the gate when we were 5 minutes late coming back, due to slow service for a meal out! Well done guys.. You're doing a Sterling job! The only downside was being charged full price when there were no facilities whatsoever... But as the lady said when I booked.. People were still prepared to pay!! Being surrounded by ponies, donkeys and cows...Still the best campsite in the Country!!!

We stayed at Roundhill for one week. No electric, toilets or showers. What we did get was a friendly welcome, lots of space, peaceful surroundings and lots of visits from ponies, cows and especially donkeys. What a wonderfully relaxing week. Thanks Roundhill keep it that way.

We have stayed here three times already this year and find it a beautiful safe haven. The staff on the phone (David) and on arrival (Neil) were extremely helpful and accommodating and went above and beyond duty… we were extremely grateful.
