Glenmore campsite offers everything you could wish for from a camping holiday – refreshment, relaxation and the outdoor lifestyle. The site offers a unique combination of landscapes and mountainous views with complete forest immersion. And did we mention the direct access to the beaches of Loch Morlich, what more could you want?

The Cairngorms National Park covers a beautiful 4,528km2. Its breath-taking backdrops are dominated by rolling mountains, whilst lochs, heathlands, forests and grassy expanses fill everything in-between, like a natural patchwork thousands of years in the making. Sitting like a pin-point within this incredible park is our Glenmore Campsite.

Tucked neatly between the thousands of ancient pine trees that populate Glenmore Forest Park, this campsite indulges in the Scottish highlands, but it's willing to share.

Enter the site and you’ll be immediately impressed with the surroundings. Dotted throughout the towering trees are open, well-kept sandy pitches. The rugged outdoor feel is still there though, with the option to go for pitches amongst the trees, and the highlands always in sight.

A very short walk through the treeline gives access to the sandy beaches of Loch Morlich, one of this campsite’s many appeals. From the water's edge enjoy the panoramic views of mountains, forests and waters.

The Cairngorms National Park is a magnet for outdoor and nature enthusiasts, and it’s not hard to see why. The area is abundant with wildlife. Deer, otters, ospreys and even golden eagles are often spotted. More than 280km of footpaths and trails criss-cross its diverse lands. There is canoeing and kayaking on Loch Morlich and, of course, many mountains provide a challenge across all seasons. Come winter time, take to the slopes on skis or a snowboard and experience some of the UK's finest runs.

Other attractions near our Glenmore Campsite include the Strathspey Steam Railway, Cairngorm Mountain Railway and the Cairngorm Mountain Centre.

Enjoy your next holiday at Glenmore. This magnificent area is something everyone should see, and our Glenmore campsite is where they should see it from.

This campsite is 300 metres above sea level, making it a popular destination for skiing in the winter months. Visitors should be prepared for cold conditions and be aware that part of the campsite closes during winter so availability may be more limited.

Please note: All grass with electric pitches for tents are on sand.

Great walks and scenery but very busy
/
We had booked thinking we were heading to a site for a little peace and quiet. We didn't realise it was Scottish half term, the site was pretty full and a lot bigger than we expected. The walks and nearby Loch were stunning, we really enjoyed that. It sounded like some other people enjoyed themselves late into Saturday night too!

A Hidden Treasure
/
We arrived to a very warm welcome from the team and shown to our pitch which was in pinewood at the bottom on the park adjacent to the beach on Loch Morlich. The location was fantastic, very quiet and shaded in the wood. We had a great 3 night stay. The facilities on site are very clean and showers are great. The local pub, shop and cafe are also a great addition to the area where you can enjoy local beers and gins with all the required essentials available if required. The reindeer centre and walk to An Lochan Uaine is a must for any visitors. We will definitely be back again to this jewel in the Cairngorms.

Lovely campsite in stunning surroundings
/
Lovely, warm welcome on arrival. Taken to be shown pitches available and given extra groundsheets as electric tent pitches are on sand. Very close to the beach at Loch Morlich. Ample showers and toilet block was clean. Only 1 block open at this time of year and was a bit inconvenient that it was closed between 11-1 for cleaning especially after a cold morning of watersports on the beach we really wanted a hot shower. A group partying very loudly from 11pm till someone (not sure if site staff) finally dealt with them at 3am so not much sleep but that's no fault of the site. Will definitely be returning.

Great location not all facilities open
/
The site is fairly close to Aviemore, we traveled in and out daily during our stay. We had a good time at this site, the site location is amazing and the sun sets on Loch Morlich are stunning, however one of the two main toilet blocks was closed and the chemical toilet disposal point was closed at the block that was open. The toilet and shower facilities are closed for 2 hours between 11 and 1 which was inconvenient, I would suggest more frequent cleaning would be better than a mid day closure and deep clean. Food in the youth hostel across the road was excellent and the pine martin pub was good but closing/opening times were very varied, these facilities are not part of the site but are nearby…. Live music on a Fri/Sat. The site would benefit from a refresh in the toilets and a tidy up of the grounds, some pitches are muddy and need new gravel. I would book this site again but have stayed at better this year.

Super site
/
Glenmore is our favourite site. We have visited many times and each time it gets better. Facilities are excellent especially the underfloor heating in the showers. Site wardens are very friendly and informative .fabulous for the cycling trails through the forest especially but all round the area. Many walks from the site, and access to loch Morlich too for those with water activities.

Great!
/
Another wonderful few days in the pinewood area of the site. So quiet and relaxing, stones throw from the loch and all the walks all around the site. Hard to beat. Been many times now over so many years, camping and now campervan long, and will be back again soon. Thanks to all the wonderful staff who always are so helpful.

Lovely campsite and the beach is beautiful with amazing views. It's in the perfect spot. Lovely little shop and cafe onsite too. Really enjoyed our stay here just wish it had been longer. Would definitely return. We walked to the beach through the trees and sat watching the light drop. Perfect.
